DESCRIPTION
The Basis of the Gepard weapon system is the remarkable Oerlikon-Contraves 35mm which was developed and put into production in the early 1960's. During the 1960's, two prototypes were produced. The Oerlikon, which was chosen for production, became the Flakpanzer Gepard, which was essentially a standard Leopard with the ordinary turret replaced by the Oerlikon-Contraves twin 35/90mm AA turret and associated auxiliary equipment.
- This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit depicting the Gepard, a post-WWII anti-aircraft tank operated by West Germany.
- From the 4km-range 35mm cannons to the radar equipment front and rear, the form of the tank is captured in style.
- Features moving barrel and radar depictions, plus opening turret rear hatches.
- Metal net is included in the kit to recreate engine deck grille details.
- Comes with a commander figure in beret.
