The Turbo Porter versions use a turboprop engine and are known for short take-off and landing (STOL) performance, allowing operations from airstrips that are unsuitable for many larger aircraft.

The PC-6 has served in a wide range of roles, including passenger and cargo transport, parachute dropping, aerial photography and medical evacuation. The PC-6A Turbo Porter first flew on 2 May 1961, and the later PC-6B version adopted a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine. Pilatus ended production in 2019 after nearly six decades of building the aircraft.

How to use it

Carefully remove the plastic parts from their sprues, assemble them with modelling cement and paint the aircraft according to the kit instructions.
