Why this model matters

The GE AC6000CW was one of the most powerful diesel-electric locomotives ever built, producing 6,000 horsepower and engineered for demanding heavy freight duties. BHP Iron Ore used these massive locomotives in Western Australia's Pilbara region, hauling some of the world’s longest and heaviest iron ore trains.

Locomotive 6073 carries the distinctive "Fortescue" name and commemorates the Fortescue River, one of the region’s most significant waterways. This model captures a uniquely Australian prototype that stands out in any modern freight collection.

How to use it

Place the locomotive on clean N scale track and operate it using a DCC controller to access full Paragon4 sound and lighting functions. It can also run on compatible DC layouts with limited automatic sound features. Pair it with iron ore wagons for an authentic Pilbara heavy haul consist.

This is a precision model locomotive. It is not a toy.
