Dapol O Salt Van Chance & Hunt Oldbury 333
A new detailed model of a 9 plank sided covered salt van with peaked wood roof based on RCH 1887 design specifications.
This new design add to the range and specification of O gauge ready to run wagons, featuring a diecast chassis for added weight and compensation beams for smooth running. Chance and Hunt of Oldbury were an early entry into what we would now know as the chemicals industry, operating a range of wagons specially constructed to safely convey liquid and solid products. Salt required weather protection for transport and storage, in this case provided by a simple peak roof built onto the body following the design of a standard open goods wagon.
