Why this aircraft matters
EI-CFC was one of four Saab 340Bs that launched Aer Lingus Commuter operations in 1991. It helped connect smaller cities across Ireland and the UK, especially where jets could not land.
It entered service fresh from the production line. It flew route after route until 1995, when Aer Lingus Commuter phased out the Saab 340 fleet.
After Ireland, EI-CFC moved on to service with Finnaviation in Finland. It carried the daring Santa Claus livery to promote Rovaniemi, the official home of Santa.
This model preserves a key moment when turboprops became vital link in European regional air travel. It carries heritage, purpose, and a touch of aviation history.
How to use it
Display it on your desk, shelf, or as part of a diorama. Use the included stand to showcase it in-flight or position it with landing gear down for a grounded look. No tools, glue, or paints are necessary; everything is factory-finished and ready to display.
This is a diecast model. It is fragile and not recommended for children.
