Hobby Master 1/72 F-15C Eagle 'MIG Killer' 85-0114 58th TFS Eglin AFB Florida 1991

In 1989 Eglin AFB in Florida became home to the 58th TFS “Gorillas” and in 1991 they were called upon to participate in “Operation Desert Shield” and “Operation Desert Storm”. On January 19, 1991, F-15C 85-0114 and his wingman were advised by an E-3 that hostiles close. Capt. Cesar Rodriguez rolled towards the targets and engaged one. Rodriguez dropped in on one of the Fulcrums and while trying to out-maneuver the F-15C the MiG-29 flew into the ground. On January 26, 1991, 85-0114 destroyed a MiG-23.
