Why this kit matters
The Bavarian S 3/6, later known as DRG Class 18.4–5, was built between 1908 and 1931 and served as a premier express steam locomotive on German mainlines. Its 4-6-2 “Pacific” wheel arrangement and compound four-cylinder steam design made it powerful and smooth in service. Many S 3/6 locomotives hauled top-tier express trains like the Rheingold. This kit gives model makers a chance to recreate one of the most celebrated steam engines in European rail history, combining visual impact and technical detail in a scale friendly to HO layout settings.
How to use it
You will need modelling glue (plastic cement) and paints (acrylic or enamel) to assemble and finish the locomotive and tender. After painting and decaling, mount it on your display or place it on corresponding HO-gauge track as a static model.
Note: This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
