Description
The B-58 Hustler was the world's first supersonic bomber. In March 1960, the powerful bomber entered service with the US Air Force's Strategic Air Command. The first machines were taken over by the 43rd Bomber Squadron at Carswell Air Force Base in Texas. Just ten years later, i.e. exactly 50 years ago, all of the attractive delta wing aircraft were taken out of service.
