Yuan Solitaire Wooden Puzzle – an ancient strategy challenge. Are you forward-thinking enough to play this game with a strategy? The aim is to remove every wooden ball from the board, except for the final one which must end up positioned in the central hole. Begin by leaving the central hole free. Remove the balls from the board one by one by ‘jumping’ them horizontally or vertically over each other, leaving the final ball back in central role. Comprised of circles – the board, the wooden balls, the holes in which they sit – this puzzle is inspired by the symbolic status that the circle holds in Chinese culture, where it represents wholeness and eternity. It can be done in 32 moves so it shouldn’t take an eternity to solve, and successfully completing it will definitely provide a huge feeling of satisfaction!
