BOLSTER WAGON

Railway companies all had a stock of their own vehicles for carrying goods and merchandise around their network, and also onto other companies' routes as and when required. These were integrated into British Railways at Nationalisation; some of them to be once more re liveried under sectorisation as the network was prepared to be returned to private ownership. All Peco wagons feature free running wheels in pin point axles. The ELC coupling, whilst compatible with the standard N gauge couplings, keeps a realistic distance between the vehicles and enables the PL-25 electro magnetic decoupler to be used for remote uncoupling.

  • This model is a pre-painted model that reproduces a 2-axle freight car with N gauge. A wide lineup of pre-painted freight cars, from standard freight cars widely used in the Commonwealth countries to privately owned freight cars up to the 1980s and British Rail freight cars.
  • The unique colorful paint, combined with the compactness of a two-axle freight car, makes the collection fun. If the vehicle has a track width of 9 mm, it can run on the tracks of various companies as well as those made by PECO. Since it comes with a standard Arnold type coupler, you can freely enjoy it in combination with various vehicles.
  • This model is a 2-axle freight car model for N gauge scale model railroads.
  • In Japan, it is a flatbed type freight car called a flatcar, and above all, it is a type called a bolster wagon equipped with a bolster that fixes the cargo in the center of the loading platform. Reproduce the LMS vehicle that manufactured many bolster wagons. The flat loading platform was used to load long cargo such as rails, and was used by connecting multiple vehicles, especially when loading long rails.
  • Before the integration of British railways into the Japanese National Railways, each company operated many bolster wagons for transporting materials. Realistic reproduction of the loading platform and underframe. The axle is a pivot type with low rolling resistance. With standard Arnold type coupler.

Recommended to be used with:

  • PECO Streamline and Setrack N Gauge Code 80 and Code 55 trackage systems
  • PECO N Quality Line Wagons
