Why this kit matters

No. 4466 Sir Ralph Wedgwood was one of Sir Nigel Gresley’s streamlined A4 Pacific locomotives, built to haul the LNER’s premier express trains. Named after a former LNER Chief General Manager, the locomotive symbolised the speed and innovation of British rail travel.

During World War II, these glamorous engines were repainted in plain black to reflect wartime austerity while continuing to play a vital role in transporting passengers and essential goods across Britain. This special edition honours both the locomotive’s service and the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in 1945.

How to use it

Place the locomotive and tender on OO gauge track and pair it with LNER teak or wartime passenger coaches. Operates on analogue DC layouts and can be upgraded with a compatible DCC decoder for digital control.

This is a detailed scale model intended for collectors and hobbyists. It is not a toy.
