Hobby Master 1/72 M60A1 MBT US Marine Corps 1980s
Hobby Master - 1/72 M60A1 MBT US Marine Corps, 1980s
The USMC M60A1 MBT was used during the 1970's, 1980's and into the 1990's. When the US Army re-equipped with the new M1 Abrams the USMC kept the M60A1. When asked by the U.S. Congress House Committee on Appropriations why they were told the M60A1 was not near the end of its life expectancy and didn't want to acquire the new M1 Abrams and then turn around and have to acquire an updated version. The paint scheme is one of eight MERDC (Mobility Equipment Research and Development Center) camouflage schemes.
