The Chrysler Valiant VH Charger E38 R/T was introduced in 1971 as a high-performance Charger developed with motorsport in mind. It used Chrysler's 265ci Hemi six-cylinder engine with triple Weber carburettors and performance-focused mechanical upgrades. The E38 was part of Chrysler Australia's effort to compete in the Australian muscle car era.
The Big Tank option added a 35-imperial-gallon fuel tank for longer-distance competition use. Historical records state that only 224 E38 Chargers were fitted with the Big Tank option. The Citron Gold Metallic finish gives this 1/18 scale diecast model its specified period-inspired presentation.
