Description
The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF or in Maylay - Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia; TUDM) was formed in June 1958 with the 11th Squadron being formed in 1969. 1975 brought about the disbandment of the 11th but it was reformed in 1983. Malaysia bought their first supersonic fighter jets; 14 F-5E Tiger II. In 1982 the first F-5Es and F-5 Fs began to arrive and were given the local designation of M29. The 11th operated as a “Training and Reconnaissance” Squadron. M29-12 was ex-USAF 74- 1457.
