Why this kit matters
The Spitfire Vb Messerspit was based on Spitfire Vb EN830, an RAF aircraft that made a forced landing on Jersey in November 1942. After capture, the aircraft was taken to Germany for evaluation.
The aircraft was later modified with a Daimler-Benz DB 605A engine and associated equipment from the Messerschmitt Bf 109 programme. It was used as a German test aircraft, making it a particularly unusual subject for WWII aircraft and scale model collections.
How to use it
Build using modelling glue and paint. Basic modelling tools are also required for removing and preparing parts, fitting components and finishing the model. Display the completed aircraft at home or in a collection cabinet.
This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
