The E5 series Shinkansen train that runs between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto has been updated to the current specifications, with some windows in all ordinary cars blocked off!
Product introduction
The E5 series Shinkansen, which runs on trains such as the Hayabusa between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto, operates at the fastest domestic speed of 320km/h.
Since the train was first introduced, there has been an increase in foreign travelers carrying large pieces of luggage, so some of the seats in cars 2, 4, 6, and 8 have been converted into storage areas for large luggage, and some of the windows have been filled in.
Similar work was then carried out on cars 1, 3, 5, and 7, eventually spreading to all cars except for cars 9 and 10.
