Dapol OO 5 Plank Beadle
The first wagons for the railways were open wagons with one or two planks acting as sides and carrying just a couple of tons. As the Locomotives improved and became more powerful, bigger wagons became more functional. The 5 plank wagon was perhaps the most common with tens of thousands being produced by all the rail companies and by private owners such as the livery here, between 1910 and the late 1930's.
