Revell 1/48 Focke Wulf Fw190D-9
By late 1944, the war, for Germany, was effectively over. Nevertheless, Luftwaffe units continued to fight. German industry continued to pump out new and different types of planes. As the world hung in the balance, the D-9 variant of the Fw 190 took to the skies. It was faster, could fly higher, and was capable of carrying more bombs than the A variants. Despite all its advantages, it was much too late to turn the tide.
Revell has been entertaining, inspiring, and educating model builders for over 70 years. Revell brand is a testament to the popularity of detailed plastic model kits that are affordably priced. Launched in 1943, Revell initially produced a wide range of products, including train sets, scale buildings and "action pull toys" recreating some of America's most popular automobiles. However, the brand found its niche with a line of fast-building "Highway Pioneers" plastic model car kits in the early 1950s. After their success, Revell focused exclusively on making models that were as authentic as they were enjoyable. Most recently we are introducing our newest line, Revell Junior Kit, which allows children as young as age 5 to assemble and dis-assemble for hours of creative play. Revell manufactures model kits suitable for all ages. Revell are proud to carry on the tradition of accuracy and provide a challenging, and enjoyable pastime for all model hobby enthusiasts.
