Why this kit matters
The Fokker Dr.I Triplane became one of the most recognisable aircraft of the First World War. It is strongly linked to German fighter pilot Manfred von Richthofen, known as the Red Baron. Its three-wing design gave it strong climb performance and tight turning ability at low speeds.
Only a limited number of Dr.I aircraft entered frontline service in 1917 and 1918. Despite this, it gained lasting recognition due to its distinctive shape and battlefield presence. The aircraft represents a key stage in early fighter development, when designers experimented with lift, manoeuvrability, and structural strength.
How to use it
