Why this kit matters

The AH-6J Little Bird is a light attack and transport helicopter used by the US Army’s elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, known as the Night Stalkers. Renowned for its agility and compact size, the Little Bird has played a crucial role in special operations missions since the 1980s, including the famous Operation Gothic Serpent in Somalia.

This helicopter is celebrated for its ability to insert and extract special forces in challenging environments, often under the cover of darkness. Its versatility and reliability have made it a favourite among pilots and a symbol of modern military aviation. Building this model offers a hands-on way to appreciate the engineering and history behind one of the world’s most iconic special operations helicopters.
