Why this kit matters
The Char 2C was developed by France at the end of the First World War and entered limited service in the interwar period. It remains the largest operational tank ever to serve with a standing army, built for breakthrough warfare and shock value.
Although it never saw direct combat before France fell in 1940, the Char 2C became a powerful symbol of early super heavy tank design. Its multi crew layout, thick armour, and dual machine gun turrets showed how armoured warfare thinking evolved between the two world wars.
