Why this kit matters

The Panzer IV/70(A) Sd.Kfz.162/1 was a late-war German tank destroyer, developed as an interim solution to boost anti-tank capabilities. Built on the Panzer IV chassis, it featured a powerful 75mm Pak 42 L/70 gun and distinctive sloped armour, making it a formidable opponent on the battlefield. Only a limited number were produced in 1944–1945, making it a rare and interesting subject for modellers.

This vehicle played a key role in the final months of World War II, serving on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Its unique design and operational history offer a fascinating glimpse into German armoured vehicle development and the challenges faced during the closing stages of the conflict.
