Why this kit matters

The AK-130 is a twin-barrelled, fully automatic naval gun system developed for the Soviet and Russian navies. Introduced in the late 1970s, it remains one of the most powerful naval artillery systems in service, capable of firing up to 90 rounds per minute per barrel. The AK-130 is fitted to major Russian warships, including the Slava-class and Sovremenny-class destroyers, providing both anti-ship and shore bombardment capabilities.

This model kit offers a rare opportunity to build a precise replica of a modern naval weapon system. Its complex engineering and distinctive appearance make it a favourite among scale model and military history enthusiasts. The AK-130’s role in naval defence and its advanced automation highlight the technological progress of late Cold War and modern Russian naval design.
