Why this kit matters
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of Germany's major fighter aircraft of the Second World War. The D series was developed with the liquid-cooled Junkers Jumo 213 engine, replacing the radial engine used by earlier Fw 190 variants. The longer engine installation gave the Fw 190D its distinctive extended nose and led to the nickname "Dora".
The Fw 190D-9 entered combat during the later stages of the war and was used against Allied aircraft, including US bomber formations. The type was capable of reaching around 426 mph and carried two 20 mm MG 151 cannon in the wings and two 13 mm MG 131 machine guns in the nose. Surviving aircraft in museums provide an important record of this late-war German fighter design.
How to use it
Build using modelling tools, plastic model cement and suitable paints. The kit includes pre-painted photo-etched parts and a painting mask, with five decal options supplied for finishing the model. Display proudly once finished at home or in your collection cabinet.
This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
