Why this kit matters
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII was developed as an improved version of earlier Spitfire marks, fitted with a stronger airframe, retractable tailwheel, and better fuel capacity for longer-range operations. It entered service in 1943 and was used mainly in the Mediterranean, India, and Pacific theatres rather than over Britain.
Some Spitfire Mk.VIII aircraft were flown by the United States Army Air Forces in overseas operations, mainly by units working closely with Allied air commands in the Mediterranean and Far East. Pilots valued the aircraft for its agility, strong climb rate, and combat performance at medium altitude. The Mk.VIII became one of the most refined Merlin-powered Spitfires built during the war.
How to use it

This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
