Why this kit matters
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI was a late-war Merlin-powered development of the Spitfire family. It used the Packard-built Merlin 266 engine and entered service during the final stages of the Second World War. The Mk.XVI was used mainly as a fighter-bomber and ground-attack aircraft in Europe.
The Mk.XVI shared much of its design with the Mk.IX but introduced features associated with later production aircraft. Eduard's ProfiPACK kit represents the high-back configuration and provides six marking options covering aircraft operated by RAF squadrons during 1944 and 1945.
How to use it
Assemble the plastic parts using modelling cement and suitable modelling tools. Paint and apply the supplied decals to complete the aircraft, then display it as part of a WWII aircraft or scale model collection.
This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
