Why this kit matters

The North American B-25 Mitchell was one of the best-known American aircraft of the Second World War. It first flew in 1940 and served with several Allied air forces. The type became especially famous after 16 B-25s launched from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet for the Doolittle Raid against Japan on 18 April 1942.

The B-25J was the most numerous major variant, and some aircraft were built or modified with a solid nose carrying multiple forward-firing .50 calibre machine guns. These Strafer aircraft were well suited to low-level attacks against ground targets and shipping in the Pacific. This Eduard edition focuses on that heavily armed configuration and includes six marking options linked to aircraft used in the Pacific and South-East Asia.
