Why this kit matters

The Douglas TBD-1A Devastator was a US Navy torpedo bomber introduced in the late 1930s. It played a significant role during the early years of World War II, most notably at the Battle of Midway. Although considered outdated by 1942, the Devastator’s missions were crucial in shaping naval air tactics and carrier warfare.

This model kit captures the unique design and historical importance of the TBD-1A, making it a valuable addition to any aircraft collection. Its detailed parts and accurate proportions allow modellers to recreate a piece of aviation history, honouring the crews who flew these aircraft in challenging conditions.
