Description
Founded back in 1929, Cubana was one of the first commercial airline companies to be established in Latin America. Following the Cuban Revolution under the leadership of Fidel Castro, the airline turned to the Soviet Union to equip its fleet. Starting from 1977, Cubana operated no less than 27 four-engine IL-62s on its long-distance routes. Several were even refurbished at the turn of the millennium and operated until 2011. Built and delivered in 1980, our model depicts CU-T1218 in its original delivery color scheme.
