Why This Car Matters

The Honda NSX made its debut in 1990 and helped establish a new standard for Japanese sports cars. Its mid-mounted V6 engine, aluminium construction and carefully developed handling made it a serious rival to established European performance cars. Formula One driver Ayrton Senna also contributed to the development of the original NSX.
