The "Chūyō" was originally constructed as the luxurious passenger ship "Nittamaru", which operated between Japan and Europe. However, it was later requisitioned and converted into an aircraft carrier. While it did not play a significant role in naval battles, it was actively used for troop and aircraft transportation, supporting frontline operations. This kit reproduces the aircraft carrier "Chūyō" in 1/700 scale as a plastic model kit. The parts are carefully structured to be simple and easy to assemble while accurately representing the ship.
