Why this kit matters

The M24 Chaffee was a light tank used by the United States and Allied forces during the late stages of World War II and the Korean War. Designed to replace the M5 Stuart, the Chaffee featured improved armour, a 75mm main gun, and enhanced mobility, making it a favourite among crews for its speed and reliability.

Its introduction in 1944 provided Allied reconnaissance units with a more capable and survivable vehicle. The M24 Chaffee saw action in Europe and the Pacific, and its design influenced post-war light tanks worldwide. Building this model offers a hands-on connection to a key piece of military history.
