Why this aircraft matters
The North American Mitchell served with the RAF as a medium bomber and saw extensive use during the Second World War. RAF Mitchells of No. 139 Wing, Second Tactical Air Force, supported Allied operations in Europe after D-Day, including attacks on V-1 launch sites, railway facilities, communications centres and enemy airfields.
HD372 carries the VO-B codes and Grumpy name associated with No. 98 Squadron. The aircraft's markings connect this model with the RAF Mitchell operations around the Normandy campaign and the Allied advance through Europe.
Livery and Finish
The model recreates the wartime appearance of Grumpy with its RAF markings, VO-B squadron codes and period finish. Pad printed markings add detail across the aircraft while keeping the model ready for display.
How to use it
Display your model on its included stand on a desk, shelf, cabinet or within a Second World War aviation collection. The finished diecast model requires no paint, glue, modelling tools or assembly.
This is a diecast model. It is fragile and not recommended for kids.
