Details
Shark-mouthed Warhawk from the skies over China.
The P-40N was the most-produced version of Curtiss's P-40 Warhawk, and a mainstay of American and Allied fighter units in the China-Burma-India theatre. The 51st Fighter Group flew the type with the 14th Air Force, defending the "Hump" airlift route and striking Japanese supply lines.
Hobby Master models P-40N "Baby Moe" of the 25th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Group, as it appeared around 1945, in olive drab with a striped rudder and the famous shark-mouth nose.
