Why this kit matters

The Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant (German for "elephant") was a heavy tank destroyer used by the German Wehrmacht during World War II. Originally known as the Ferdinand, it was later renamed Elefant after modifications. Armed with a powerful 8.8 cm Pak 43/2 gun, it was designed to engage enemy tanks at long range. The Elefant saw action on the Eastern Front and in Italy, where its firepower proved formidable, but its mechanical unreliability and vulnerability to close-quarters combat limited its effectiveness.

This model kit allows you to accurately depict a significant and imposing German tank destroyer in a smaller scale. The Elefant's massive size and powerful gun make it a distinctive subject. Building this kit provides insight into the design and function of German armoured vehicles during the war.
