Why this kit matters

The Tupolev Tu-2 was a twin-engine Soviet medium bomber introduced during World War II. Designed by Andrei Tupolev’s team, it played a key role in Soviet air operations from 1942 onwards, offering speed, payload, and versatility that matched or surpassed many Western counterparts. The Tu-2 was used in bombing, reconnaissance, and ground-attack missions, making it a vital asset for the Soviet Air Force.

With over 2,500 units produced, the Tu-2 remained in service well into the 1950s and was exported to several allied nations. Its robust design and combat effectiveness have made it a favourite subject for scale model enthusiasts and historians alike.
