Why this kit matters

Evangelion Test Type-01 is the central mecha from the acclaimed anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, first aired in 1995. Piloted by Shinji Ikari, Unit-01 is known for its striking purple and green colour scheme and its pivotal role in the series’ dramatic battles against the mysterious Angels. The design, created by mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita, has become a cultural icon in the world of anime and science fiction.

This model kit captures the unique proportions and mechanical details of the TV version, making it a must-have for fans and collectors. Building this kit offers a hands-on way to appreciate the engineering and artistry behind one of anime’s most recognisable robots.

How to use it

Build using paint and glue. Display proudly once finished, at home or in your collection cabinet.

This is a plastic model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
