Why this kit matters

The AD60 Class Garratt was one of the largest and most powerful steam locomotives ever built, operating in New South Wales, Australia. Introduced in 1952, these articulated locomotives were designed to handle heavy freight loads on steep gradients, becoming a symbol of Australian railway engineering prowess. The Garratt design, with its two sets of driving wheels and boilers, allowed for immense power and adhesion.

This centenary edition celebrates the enduring legacy of the AD60 Class. The special livery adds a unique visual appeal, making this model a standout piece for any collection. The inclusion of authentic sound functions further enhances the realism, bringing the mighty roar of this steam giant to your model railway.

How to use it

This is a ready-to-run HO scale locomotive. Place it on compatible HO gauge track. For optimal sound and lighting control, a DCC controller is recommended. If running on DC, the locomotive may operate but sound functions might be limited or require specific setup. No assembly, paint, or glue is required.

This is a plastic and metal model. Assembly, paint, and glue are not required. It is not a toy.
