Why this kit matters

China clay transport was an important freight operation for the Great Western Railway, particularly from Cornwall. Covered wagons with tarpaulins were used to protect fine clay from weather damage during transit, making them a distinctive part of British pre-nationalisation freight history.

How to use it

This is a ready-to-run OO scale wagon. Simply place it on compatible OO gauge track and couple it to your locomotive or freight consist. No assembly, paint, or glue is required.

This is a plastic model. It is not a toy.
