Why this kit matters

The R. Fred. Cole Coal & Coke Merchant livery is an essential addition for historical railway layouts focused on coal transport, a vital industry during the industrial revolution and early 20th century Britain.

These 5 plank wagons were widely used for transporting coal, which was a primary fuel source during the era. The red livery represents a popular colour scheme for coal merchants’ rolling stock, giving your layout a vibrant and historically accurate appearance.
