Why this kit matters

The A1 Terrier class, introduced in the 1870s, is one of the most iconic small steam locomotive designs in British railway history. Originally built for the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway, these compact tank engines became famous for their reliability on light passenger duties and short branch lines.

Many Terriers survived into British Railways ownership, with several preserved today. Their long service life and distinctive small-frame design make them a favourite among modellers seeking authentic pre-grouping and early BR operations.

How to use it

Place the locomotive on powered OO gauge track and operate using your DC or DCC system if fitted. Ideal for short passenger trains, light freight duties, or yard shunting on compact layouts.

This is a detailed scale model intended for collectors. It is not a toy and is recommended for ages 14 and above.
