Why this wagon matters

Fruit vans played an important role in transporting perishable produce quickly across Britain’s rail network. Ventilated wagons like the BR Fruit MEX series were commonly used for moving fruit and food products between rural producers, markets, and major distribution centres.

This model adds operational realism and historical accuracy to British Rail-era layouts, pairing well with steam and early diesel locomotives in mixed freight consists.

How to use it

This ready-to-run OO scale wagon can be placed directly onto compatible OO gauge track. Couple it into freight formations using the standard couplings for smooth operation across your railway layout. No assembly, paint, or glue is required.

This is a plastic model. Assembly, paint, and glue are not required. It is not a toy.
