Why this kit matters
No. 2999 Lady of Legend is one of Britain’s most remarkable railway preservation projects. Completed in 2019 by the Great Western Society at Didcot Railway Centre, it recreated George Churchward’s pioneering Saint Class using components from GWR Hall Class No. 4942 Maindy Hall. The project restored a locomotive type that had been extinct since 1953.
