Description
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is a single-engine, single-seat fighter-bomber of all-metal construction. First flown in 1938, it was a modified version of the Curtiss P-36 Hawk, allowing for quicker development and production. The Warhawk was utilized by numerous Allied countries during World War II and remained in active duty until the war's conclusion.
