Why this kit matters

The Fieseler Fi-156 Storch was a German liaison and reconnaissance aircraft renowned for its exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. First flown in 1937, it could operate from unprepared fields and confined spaces, making it invaluable for military operations during World War II. The D-1 variant, in particular, was adapted for medical evacuation, featuring a rearward-facing seat for a stretcher and a large rear window for easy loading and unloading of casualties.

This model kit offers an opportunity to build a detailed replica of this iconic aircraft, capturing its distinctive features and historical significance. The inclusion of clear canopy parts allows for an unobstructed view of the cockpit interior, adding to the model's realism.
