Why this kit matters

The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, widely known as the HMMWV or Humvee, became a symbol of modern military mobility from the 1980s onward. Designed to replace several older vehicles, it offered off-road performance, payload flexibility, and adaptability across many roles.

The M1097A2 variant is a heavy chassis version, capable of carrying increased loads and specialised equipment. It has seen service in many operational theatres and remains an important subject in land military scale modelling, reflecting late Cold War and post-Cold War military operations.
