Why this kit matters

The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 1 was introduced by the Bundeswehr in the 1970s as a dedicated anti-tank platform. Armed with the HOT guided missile, it provided West Germany with a mobile and precise defence against armoured threats during the Cold War.

Its compact shape, low silhouette, and missile focused role reflect the tactical thinking of the era. The Jaguar 1 represents the transition from gun armed tank destroyers to guided missile systems, making it an important subject in post war armoured vehicle history.
