Why this kit matters

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk I is one of the most recognised fighter aircraft of the Second World War. It played a key role during the Battle of Britain in 1940, where it helped defend the United Kingdom against German air attacks. Its speed, manoeuvrability, and advanced design made it a formidable opponent in aerial combat.

The Spitfire became a symbol of resistance and determination, representing the strength of the RAF during a critical time. Its elegant design and combat success ensured its place in aviation history. This model allows builders to recreate an aircraft that remains one of the most celebrated fighters ever produced.
