Why this kit matters

The Panavia Tornado ADV (Air Defence Variant) was a key interceptor for the Royal Air Force from the 1980s through the early 2000s. Designed to counter high-speed threats, the Tornado ADV featured advanced radar and long-range missiles, making it a cornerstone of NATO air defence during the Cold War and beyond.

This aircraft served with distinction in multiple air forces, including the RAF and the Royal Saudi Air Force. Its variable-geometry wings and twin-engine design allowed for both high-speed interception and extended patrols, reflecting the technological advancements of its era. Building this model offers a hands-on connection to a significant chapter in modern military aviation history.
