Why this kit matters

The Panavia Tornado is a joint European combat aircraft developed by the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy. First flown in 1974, it became a key strike and reconnaissance platform during the Cold War and remained in frontline service for decades.

Used extensively by the RAF, Luftwaffe, and Italian Air Force, the Tornado proved its value in conflicts from the Gulf War to later NATO operations. Its variable-sweep wings and low-level penetration role made it one of the most recognisable combat aircraft of its era.
